Description Onyeibo Oku 2012-11-23 07:36:25 UTC
Description of problem:
Made a backup on Evolution-3.4.4-1.fc17 in Fedora-17 using Evolution's inbuilt backup feature. On Fedora-18 (RC1), i tried to restore the backup. The process starts then resets abruptly. On starting Evolution again it resumes as one that has no prior data -- hence the restoration failed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.6.2-2.fc18

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create A backup using the Backup feature of Evolution-3.4.4-1.fc17
2. Start Evolution-3.6.2-2.fc18 and attempt a restore from the preliminary setup page
3. Process will require restart of evolution. On restart, Evolution will be expect setup again

Actual results:
Evolution cannot be setup from a backup

Expected results:
Evolution should restore from the backup, pick settings from there and continue. Subsequent restarts should bring Evolution straight to main window (no further settings required)
