Description of problem: Run emacs with a .emacs of " (set-default-font "Liberation Mono-9") (add-to-list 'default-frame-alist '(font . "Liberation Mono-9")) (add-to-list 'initial-frame-alist '(font . "Liberation Mono-9")) " and open a dired window and multiple gtk assertions appear on the console. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Using Beta of Fedora release 18 (Spherical Cow) and all updates applied. How reproducible: Everytime. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use the above .emacs file. 2. Open a dired window (e.g. on $HOME). 3. Scroll over that window and (emacs:7478): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_distribute_natural_allocation: assertion `extra_space >= 0' failed appears in the console. Expected results: No assertion message ;-) Additional info: This does not happen with Liberation Mono 10 in the .emacs file. This did not happen with size 9 or 10 on F16 or F17.
