Comment 6 Joergen Thomsen 2012-11-30 21:48:16 UTC
At second attempt the pre-existing disk layout was recognized and the existing mount points displayed including the RAID partition(s).

However, if you want to avoid having anaconda mess around with partitioning and formatting, it is very confusing to find out how to just make an installation using the preexisting partitions and filesystems.

I still cannot get past a yellow triangle with an exclamation point.
The information on the custom settings are not very helpful in that respect.

Comment 7 Joergen Thomsen 2012-11-30 22:58:05 UTC
The recognition problem may be caused by using an USB key as the installation media and clicking before the detection had finished.

However, anaconda is still requesting the RAID partion to be formatted and that no boot device has been selected even if it has been done.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Comment 9 David Lehman 2013-11-06 20:41:11 UTC
Detection of filesystems (and other formatting) on RAID1 is known to work well in general. If you see this issue again with recent versions of anaconda, please reopen the bug with the logs from the recent attempt. Thanks.
