I wanted to run firstboot again after I hit Bug #884833 So I did: rm /etc/sysconfig/firstboot touch /etc/reconfigSys Rebooted and I see saw an error, then very fast the normal fedora login screen hided it. I logged in as root on tty2 and tried running firstboot from console. That moved me back to tty1 with the error in upper part of the screen in I don't know what mode of the screen because mouse cursor was moving, the screen was black except the text error at the top. Sorry I didn't take note of the message. I could not recover graphical interface so had to reboot. Finally logged in as root and in graphical mode and run firstboot from terminal. That worked fine and I'm now happy. I think all this needs to be done foolproof.
This should be fixed by firstboot catching SystemExit exception. Patch implementing this will be present in firstboot-18.7
