Alternately I would be happy if instead it will be possible to just delete the VM without removal from the pool, but this is an RFE that discussion has started on bug 569322 but never matured. The confirmation dialog was already added in this patch:
webadmin: Allow remove of a VM without removing its disks
When removing a VM, give the user the option to delete the VM itself
while leaving the disks as floating disks in the system
Only applicable when:
1. The disks have no snapshots
2. The VM is not based on template
