Thanks for a bug report. I see the image is named "cid:Image0", which seems correct. The image doesn't seem to be part of some attached message, I guess you meant the images which are part of the message, not a remote images. These should be shown always, because they are local, that's true. This works for me for my older messages, on IMAP account, thus I guess there is something different in the message itself. Could you search the message source (Ctrl+U) for "Image0" (quotes for clarity only), which should be there at least twice, once as a "cid:Image0" inside the HTML part, the second time in headers for the image attachment. I see the message was received by the evolution-ews, thus it seems like EWS does not restore message, or the message attachment headers, properly. I'll check my test case here too and let you know.
