Description Anssi Johansson 2012-12-10 14:01:14 UTC
Description of problem:

https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2012-1553.html says:
"New kmod-bnx2x, kmod-bnx2, and kmod-bnx2i packages are now available"
This is correct.

"The kmod-bnx2x packages provide [...] Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM57xx Gigabit Ethernet"
I would expect that the kmod-bnx2x package would provide support for "BCM5771x/578xx 10/20-Gigabit Ethernet", which is listed in the kmod-bnx section below.

"The kmod-bnx packages provide [...] BCM5771x/578xx 10/20-Gigabit Ethernet", I'd again expect that the kmod-bnx2 package would provide support for "Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM57xx Gigabit Ethernet" instead, which was mentioned above. Please also note that this paragraph refers to "kmod-bnx". I believe you meant kmod-bnx2.
