Created attachment 661496 [details] corrupted initial screen Description of problem: I sometimes see missing text in the initial language screen, see screenshots. I have seen in only on bare metal (two different computers), never VM. I have seen it only with pxeboot and inst.repo=http://, I wasn't able to reproduce it with netinst. I think it is a problem with gtk loop, maybe some threading issue? If I switch to tty1 and back, the missing text is restored. Very occasionally I see missing text also in the partitioning screen near the disk icons (their descriptions are missing and appear on mouse click on that disk icon), but I'm not sure that's related. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): F18 TC1 anaconda 18.36 How reproducible: often (20-50% ?) Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot anaconda on bare metal using pxeboot and inst.repo=http:// 2. sometimes see some texts missing

I just saw this issue twice when using DVD optical media, so it is not related to pxeboot. Up to this point, I have always seen it on nvidia graphics card (different families). But the truth is I don't have a lot of other machines here to test with.
Created attachment 662255 [details] corrupted main hub screen I always though this happens just for the initial language screen. But today I saw the same problem also in the main hub screen. Mouse over and clicking redraws the text.
ajax says this is a kernel bug, and he would certainly know better than I.
OK, we're well past the point where we can fix this for F18 release and we don't respin release media. If you see this again with the F19 Alpha, please reopen.
I don't seem to hit it with F19 Alpha TC3 DVD i386.
