Any AVCs?

Comment 2 Francesco Frassinelli (frafra) 2012-12-12 12:42:23 UTC
Sorry, I've some problem with auditd: I was trying to clean the audit.log file and now audit doesn't want to start again. I tried to recreate the file and launch a restorecon, and then an autorelabel, but it didn't work.

This is the output of systemctl status auditd.service and cat /etc/audit/audit.rules. I didn't change any configuration file.
http://paste.stg.fedoraproject.org/2492

I got some errors about gnome-keyring, systemd and packagekit.

audit.log

Logged as xguest, tried to mount a pendrive, logged out.

Comment 4 Francesco Frassinelli (frafra) 2012-12-12 13:07:55 UTC
I fixed the previous audit problem with: chmod 0600 /var/log/audit/audit.log. Then I've restarted audit and it has generated the audit.log file I've just attached.

Comment 5 Francesco Frassinelli (frafra) 2012-12-12 21:35:46 UTC
This is not related with any AVC. I used audid2allow -M and semodule -i in order to check it. Now I have no AVC and USER_AVC warnings, but it still doesn't work.

When I try to mount it Dolphin says:
"An error occurred while accessing 'Dati', the system responded: An unspecified error has occurred: Not authorized to perform operation" (where Dati is my usb drive main partition label).

Comment 6 Daniel Walsh 2013-01-03 21:42:15 UTC
I moved a little forward on this, but it still does not fully work. Part of the problem is / is not mounted -rshared.

Comment 7 Daniel Walsh 2013-01-03 21:43:32 UTC
Try

# mount --make-rshared /

Then login as xguest and see if the disk starts showing up? Right now I see the disk but I can not mount it.

Comment 8 Francesco Frassinelli (frafra) 2013-01-04 19:03:34 UTC
I can confirm this: it sees the usb pendrive but I'm unable to mount it.

I don't know if it could be related, but I have a very long delay before KDE starts if I do a login with xguest without closing my current KDE session.

Comment 9 Fedora End Of Life 2013-12-21 09:52:28 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '18'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be
able to fix it before Fedora 18 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 10 Fedora End Of Life 2014-02-05 13:49:49 UTC
Fedora 18 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2014-01-14. Fedora 18 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
