Can you try with darktable 1.1.1 in the updates-testing please?

Comment 12 Rodrigo Hernandes 2013-01-06 22:08:09 UTC
Tested with version 1.1.1 as requested

Rodrigo, Is the problem still here with darktable 1.1.3?

Comment 16 Rodrigo Hernandes 2013-02-23 00:51:42 UTC
As requested I auditioned.

still the same error.

Good problem I believe is that the software itself is not supported.

However already found another program to replace. ;)

sorry for the bad english

Comment 17 Rodrigo Hernandes 2013-02-23 01:02:32 UTC
I'm using version 1.1.3 but when i am sending the error it is giving error as duplicate.

Comment 18 Edouard Bourguignon 2013-02-23 14:56:55 UTC
What error? What do you mean by "the software itself is not supported"?

Comment 19 Rodrigo Hernandes 2013-02-23 16:26:54 UTC
"the software itself is not supported"?
Forgiveness was a translation error

the camera is not yet supported by darktable

Please look at this video of the bug.

Comment 20 Edouard Bourguignon 2013-03-17 14:48:08 UTC
Sorry video is not in english. If the camera is not yet supported I can't do anything. What is your camera?

Comment 21 Andrew Aylett 2013-03-17 19:54:27 UTC
Darktable appears to crash when trying to access my USB-attached Canon EOS400D. It crashes on startup if attached on startup, or when I click the "Scan for devices" button if attached after startup.

Comment 22 Rodrigo Hernandes 2013-03-21 12:19:03 UTC

I just believe that even if the camera was not compatible, could not close abruptly and generate an error.

camera Sony nex-f3

1 When you connect the camera and starts the program

or

2nd When we started the program, I connect the camera and do a search "per device"

excuse me for the english, I'm using a translator

suggested patch

This happens when I start darktable while I have my MP3 player connected via USB. gphoto2 first thinks that it's a camera but then decides that there's something wrong and tries to call the GPContextErrorFunc and darktable crashes.
This patch fixes the problem for me.

I already submitted pull request upstream.

Comment 24 Jiri Popelka 2013-04-08 08:28:39 UTC
Seems to be fixed in darktable-1.2-1.fc18.x86_64

I see
[camera_control] gphoto2 error: PTP I/O error
when I start it as 'darktable d -all' but it does not crash anymore.

Comment 25 Marcos Salgueiro Balsa 2013-04-27 23:54:00 UTC
Open darktable with external usb device plugged in (smartphone || camera).
How I got around the problem?
  Detached the device
  Opened darktable
  Reattached the device
