Recent updates to pandoc since F16's pandoc-1.8.2.1-5.fc16.x86_64 and pandoc-markdown2pdf-1.8.2.1-5.fc16.x86_64 have included some updates to the LaTeX templating that allow for -V geometry:margin=1in to be passed on the commandline to alter the margin widths on generated PDFs to override the HUGE margin defaults imposed by LaTeX. (view a generated [markdown2pdf README.md] to see the issue's context, if needed) As F16 is not yet EOL, would it be possible to generate an update for F16's pandoc to sync with the current release on F17?
Would like to but dunno if I can find time before F18 GA... Needs updates for: blaze-html >=0.4.3.0 && <0.5, citeproc-hs >=0.3.4 && <0.4, highlighting-kate >=0.5.1 && <0.6, pandoc-types >=1.9.0.2 && <1.10, tagsoup >=0.12.5 && <0.13, texmath >=0.6.0.2 && <0.7, xml >=1.3.12 && <1.4
(Any plan to update to F17? F16 will probably be EOL around the end of next month I think)
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '16'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 16 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
I tried building it locally with cabal-install and that worked ok: $ sudo yum install cabal-install $ sudo yum-builddep pandoc $ cabal update $ cabal install pandoc-1.9.4.2 should work for a user. I am afraid it is too late now for F16.
