My setup consists in a laptop on a docking station, lid closed, with an external screen connected to the docking station. When I leave my office, I open the lid, remove the laptop from the docking station, and until now, open and close the lid, which had the effect to suspend the laptop. But, since I've upgraded to fedora 18 from fedora 17 I guess, when I close the lid, the laptop doesn't enter suspend to memory mode. I have to select "Sleep" from the user menu. My setup is an up to date fedora 18, running GNOME 3. My machine is a DELL Latitude E4300, with Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset.
