Description of problem:

update fails due to dependencies

How reproducible:

every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo yum update
Actual results:

Running rpm_check_debug
ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve
xen-libs is needed by (installed) xen-3.0.3-64.el5_2.1.x86_64
xen-libs is needed by (installed) xen-3.0.3-64.el5_2.1.x86_64

Expected results:

successful update with restart message

Try upgrading to the latest yum in RHEL-5, and give the full output if it still fails. Also make sure it's not a pre-exiting problem, and that you have access to the xen packages.

Very likely a pre-existing rpmdb problem.  Please try reinstalling the xen package.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)
Recreated the same error in the above version today (7Aug15)
Also performed the yum upgrade yum and problem remained.
