Description Ed Friedman 2013-01-17 19:40:04 UTC
Description of problem:
Select All deselects already selected packages in a group.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
yumex-3.0.10-1.fc18.noarch

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a group in yumex, such as the Sound and Video group under Applications
2.Click "Select All"
3.

Actual results:
Around half of the packages are selected, the other half are deselected

Expected results:
All of the packages should be selected.

Additional info:
This feature is essential now that Fedora 18 no longer allows users to customize packages during installation. I have to install all of the packages and desktops because each computer may be used by dozens of different people. Couple that with the hundreds of machines I would have to upgrade if I moved them all to Fedora 18, and I am looking at hundreds of hours of wasted time - all because "Select All" does not actually select all. Even pirut was capable of selecting all.

Comment 1 Tim Lauridsen 2013-09-12 08:01:13 UTC
Yes, Select All just select all packages in the view, that is not very useful

Maybe there should be a "Install All" and "Remove All" Button instead

Comment 2 Tim Lauridsen 2013-09-12 08:53:56 UTC
Install All & Remove All is implemented upstream
