Description Jan Martiska 2011-11-30 09:20:48 UTC
project_key: JBPAPP6

Run a standalone EAP instance. Navigate to Profile/Core/Logging/Handlers. Create a handler of type async-handler. Try editing its properties and put an invalid input (e.g. non-numeric) into "Queue Length". It will pass validation. The validation only checks that there are no whitespaces/special characters, but doesn't check that it is a number.

Hi Jan, for some reason I can't even specify the type of handler in DR7. Do you know how to resolve this?

Did you create the handler in cli mode?

Because of that I can't really look into the other JIRAS you assigned to me.
[Note: This issue seems to be present in AS 7.1 too]

Hi Dustin. I looked at your screenshot and this looks really weird. Are you for sure using DR7 / have you tried doing a fresh install? For me it works :/ I guess this is not a problem with webbrowser, I tried with Firefox 3.6, 5 and Chrome 15. Maybe are you using Windows platform? I didn't check it there. I am using 64bit Sun JDK 1.6.0_25 on Fedora 14.

Was using Firefox 3.6.24. Tried Chrome and the menus are not blanked out.

Thanks! Will work on it now!

This is from the nightly build from Jbossas-7 [async.png screenshot]

Even though a nicer error message would have been expected, this fixes the issue.
