If an AS instance gets into a state where it cannot be controlled normally by the host controller, local OS commands must be used to kill it.

It would be helpful to be able to kill an unresponsive JVM through the management interface.

It requires corresponding management operation before it can be added to the console. Hence I am going to assign it Brian

Emanuel's server side patch is merged for ER6, adding "destroy" and "kill" operations to the management API. I would move this BZ to MODIFIED but will await incorporation of the HAL version that uses this. If QE wants to test the operations via the CLI though, that will be possible in ER6.
