Description Andrew Ter-Grigoryan 2013-01-18 04:07:00 UTC
The version of that CAPS plugins suite is many releases behind the curve. I mean, having tried them in Ardour, nothing has crashed yet, and they seem quite serviceable, but it would be nice to have all of the tweaks and bug fixes from Tim Goetze's more recent releases. I haven't checked to see if any other LADSPA plugins in mainline Fedora are outdated. Maybe so, but let's not get too general here.

Please note that I have no ability or experience with maintaining packages. I am actually quite inept in that department ... which is why I put this request out there for someone else to pick up. I've emailed Tim Goetze, and the only package he maintains is the source. Hans de Goede submitted the 0.4.2 package way back in 2007 ... perhaps we can get in contact with him again and request an updated package?

Thanks.

P.S.: I've emailed the request to him Hans de Goede myself already.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Any progress on this, Hans?

Comment 4 Hans de Goede 2013-08-02 14:43:25 UTC
Hi,

(In reply to Andrew Ter-Grigoryan from comment #3)
> Any progress on this, Hans?

Sorry for being so slow on this, updated packages are now on their way to F-19+ (I'm assuming people still on F-18 are not feeling adventurous, so that it is best to not give them this new version).

Please test and leave positive feedback in bodhi.

Thanks,.

Hans

Ok, I left you positive karma.

It's working great for me, after playing with it for a little bit. No instability at all.
