attaching the alsa-info as requested .. since filing the initial bug the system has gone configuration changes with packages upgrades to the kernel, KDE, core etc

pulseaudio-3.0-4.fc18.x86_64 was back ported via koji (srpm) version 3.x does not seem to suffer from this bug .. 
update-testing for Fedora 18 still has version 2.1-5
Updating to version 3.x should be good to go.

do you really need to specify 3stack since no 3stack model for alc888?
