Created attachment 692625 [details] alsa-info attaching the alsa-info as requested .. since filing the initial bug the system has gone configuration changes with packages upgrades to the kernel, KDE, core etc uname -a Linux 3.7.5-201.fc18.x86_64 KDE 4.10.0 pulseaudio -v This is PulseAudio 3.0
pulseaudio-3.0-4.fc18.x86_64 was back ported via koji (srpm) version 3.x does not seem to suffer from this bug .. update-testing for Fedora 18 still has version 2.1-5 Updating to version 3.x should be good to go.
do you really need to specify 3stack since no 3stack model for alc888? http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git;a=commitdiff;h=1a97b7f22774b454531f013638b181803fba470f;hp=9155f82a6a26da4a5b8d2d29f1d31836906b4712 /sys/class/sound/hwC0D2/init_pin_configs: 0x14 0x01014410 0x15 0x02214020 0x16 0x411111f0 0x17 0x411111f0 0x18 0x02a19840 0x19 0x01a19c30 0x1a 0x0181343f 0x1b 0x411111f0 0x1c 0x411111f0 0x1d 0x411111f0 0x1e 0x411111f0 0x1f 0x411111f0 /sys/class/sound/hwC0D2/driver_pin_configs: /sys/class/sound/hwC0D2/user_pin_configs: !!Modprobe options (Sound related) !!-------------------------------- snd_hda_intel: model=3stack
