Thanks for a bug report. There is filled a similar upstream bug [1], thus I'm moving this there. Please see [1] for any further updates. If possible, please CC yourself there, in case upstream developers will have additional questions. [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=691966
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=691966#c3 as a patch can you apply it to us test it ? Logging into Bugzilla at https://bugzilla.redhat.com Checking for duplicates Bug is already reported: 901798 Logging out Status: CLOSED UPSTREAM https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=901798
(In reply to comment #14) > as a patch can you apply it to us test it ? OK, the upstream change is part of 3.7.92, which means 3.8.0 in Fedora 19. I'll create an update for Fedora 18 too.
err, it'll take longer, openldap is currently broken (with respect of build of evolution-data-server), thus I cannot build the package. Once the openldap will be fixed I'll initiate the build and create the update.
I meant just apply this simple patch https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=5c498a63bed8b6253c00f3d7edeab7077ad31e33 on evolution package for F18
evolution-data-server-3.6.4-4.fc18 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 18. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/evolution-data-server-3.6.4-4.fc18
Sergio, you stated on the update: > can't say that is all fixed , but works better I guess it's because the upstream change was about a crash workaround, not about fixing the exact cause of the crash, which is unknown at the moment (the upstream bug is still opened). If you can follow on the upstream bug and provide information about the weirdness you might see with the patch available, then maybe it'll help to sort out things.
evolution-data-server-3.6.4-4.fc18 has been pushed to the Fedora 18 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
