Description Rejy M Cyriac 2013-01-22 15:40:54 UTC
Description of problem:

While it is possible to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of a Host Cluster with 'Virt Service' enabled, it is not possible to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of a Host Cluster with 'Gluster Service' enabled. The attempt results in an inappropriate error statement that is related to changing the CPU type of the Cluster.

Why is it not allowed to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of a Host Cluster with 'Gluster Service' enabled ?

If this access denial is justified, then the error statement needs to be appropriate.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhevm-3.1.0-32.el6ev

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create two Host Clusters, one with 'Virt Service' enabled, and the other with 'Gluster Service' enabled.
2. Add appropriate hosts to the two clusters and have them activated.
3. Try to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of both the Host Clusters

Actual results:
It is possible to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of a Host Cluster with 'Virt Service' enabled.
It is not possible to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of a Host Cluster with 'Gluster Service' enabled. The attempt results in an inappropriate error statement that is related to changing the CPU type of the Cluster.

Expected results:
Either the action to edit the 'Name' or 'Description' field of a Host Cluster with 'Gluster Service' enabled must be allowed, or if the access denial is justifiable, then the error statement needs to be appropriate.
