Description of problem: Spellchecking doesn't works properly after I have changed the dictionary with X-x ispell-change-dictionary RET english REt Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): emacs-24.2 How reproducible: Start emacs with export LANG=de_DE; emacs Create a new file and enter a english text with typos. Enter M-x ispell-change-dictionary RET english RET Enter M-x ispell-buffer Actual results: ispell hangs Expected results: Ispell should show a window with correction suggestions Additional info: The main issue is, that hunspell exprect en_US as a dictionary in opposite to emacs which only except english.
