Description of problem: Following the man page of livecd-creator, I tried # livecd-creator --config=/usr/share/livecd-tools/livecd-fedora-minimal.ks This file does not exist, unfortunately, (bug against the man page) so I found the new path, and retried with: # livecd-creator --config=/usr/share/doc/livecd-tools-18.14/livecd-fedora-minimal.ks I get this output: Skipping (/sys/fs/selinux,/sys/fs/selinux) because source doesn't exist. Transaction couldn't start: installing package kernel-3.8.0-0.rc4.git1.1.fc19.x86_64 needs 50MB on the / filesystem installing package lldpad-0.9.45-3.fc19.x86_64 needs 51MB on the / filesystem installing package fcoe-utils-1.0.25-2.fc19.x86_64 needs 51MB on the / filesystem installing package anaconda-19.1-2.fc19.x86_64 needs 63MB on the / filesystem Error creating Live CD : Unable to install: Could not run transaction. Increasing 'part / --size 1024' to 'part / --size 2048' in the kickstart file fixes this. Fedora should ship a working minimal kickstart file. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): livecd-tools-18.14-1.fc18.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run livecd-creator --config=/usr/share/doc/livecd-tools-18.14/livecd-fedora-minimal.ks Actual results: Error due to insufficient disk space allocated in kickstart file. Expected results: Minimal livecd image
Thanks. I hadn't realized we were including an example. It really isn't meant to be complete, so I simplified it so that it will build. For complete running systems see the spin-kickstarts package.
