Description Klaus-Peter Schrage 2013-01-24 12:05:17 UTC
Description of problem:
Module mod_authn_alias.so, which is requested by /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf, is not present in distribution.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
httpd-2.4.3-12.fc18.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
enter: systemctl status httpd.service

Actual results:
httpd: Syntax error on line 152 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load modules/mod_authn_alias.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_authn_alias.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
httpd.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE

Of course, I could disable line 152 of httpd.conf, but I don't know how essential the missing module is.

Comment 1 Klaus-Peter Schrage 2013-01-26 09:50:13 UTC
As I had done a system upgrade from F17 to F18 via FedUp,the file httpd.conf from httpd-2.2.22-4.fc17.x86_64.rpm was still present in /etc/httpd/conf.
I had missed to rename httpd.conf.rpmnew, sorry for the noise.
