Description Gary Case 2013-01-24 18:10:43 UTC
Description of problem:
The Fn+F8 Fn+F9 brightness keys do not actually change the brightness on a Thinkpad T430s. They bring up the OSD, and you might be able to change the brightness bar that's displayed by one unit or so, but the brightness itself can only be controlled through the System Settings, Brightness and Lock slider.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 18 (unsure what component this really is)

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press Fn+F8 to decrease brightness or Fn+F9 to increase brightness.
2.
3.

Actual results:
OSD displayed, no brightness change occurs.

Expected results:
OSD displayed, brightness changes.

Additional info:
sosreport to follow.
