Description Michal Jaegermann 2013-01-26 21:50:02 UTC
Description of problem:

After upgrading the previous installation to Fedora 18 (using 'yum distro-sync' method) one gets:

# /usr/bin/updmap-sys --nohash
Can't locate TeXLive/TLUtils.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/share/texlive/tlpkg /usr/local/lib64/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 .) at /usr/bin/updmap line 41.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/updmap line 41.

That is hard to notice and this usually runs in package scripts with

/usr/bin/updmap-sys --nohash --quiet &> /dev/null

Check with 'yum provides ....' shows that missing TLUtils.pm is present
in texlive-texlive.infra-0.svn27610-8.fc18.noarch, and apparently only there, but what gets installed instead is texlive-texlive.infra-svn28217.0-13.fc18.noarch and the later is missing a substantial chunk of files present in the former (29 files vanished and in particular all from
/usr/share/texlive/tlpkg/TeXLive/ directory).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
texlive-2012-13.20130102_r28692.fc18
