Description of problem: strongswan-NetworkManager-5.0.0-2.git20120619.fc17.x86_64 is installed, however, strongswan based IPsec VPNs cannot be created using nm-connection-editor. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): strongswan-NetworkManager-5.0.0-2.git20120619.fc17.x86_64 How reproducible: Install the rpm, try to add strongswan based VPN via nm-connection-editor. Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum install strongswan-NetworkManager 2. nm-connection-editor 3. Select VPN -> "Add" Actual results: "IPsec/IKEv2 (strongswan)" should be available as an option, but it is not there. Expected results: "IPsec/IKEv2 (strongswan)" should be available as an option, Additional info: I checked the source file from http://download.strongswan.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager-strongswan-1.3.0.tar.gz and I also compared against other NetworkManager VPN plugins (e.g. openswan, openvpn or vpnc). It looks like the strongswan-NetworkManager rpm is lacking (at least) the following files: /etc/NetworkManager/VPN/nm-strongswan-service.name /etc/dbus-1/system.d/nm-strongswan-service.conf /usr/share/gnome-vpn-properties/strongswan/nm-strongswan-dialog.ui /usr/lib64/NetworkManager/libnm-strongswan-properties.so /usr/libexec/nm-strongswan-auth-dialog Without these files I don't think the openswan based VPN can be used by NetworkManager.
Then you might be willing to help reviewing the proper package or even help me with strongswan updates. I had some problems with them recently. Look for bugs submitted to strongswan if you're interested. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 863836 ***
