Per Feb-13 bug triage meeting, reassigning to swatt.
http://servername:50070 is the HDFS Web UI that only gets started when you start the HDFS Daemons. Since we're developing GlusterFS as an alternative to HDFS those daemons would never get started. Users would manage GlusterFS via GlusterFS tools, such as the Red Hat Storage Console.
Just like bug 909446 It would be possible to stand up a web ui that maps from the expected HDFS interface to a HCFS Gluster instance.
After a conversation with Matt, he reopened this bug so we could keep a "tracker feature request" open for consideration to add a Web based File browser UI, akin to the HDFS Web UI, but for any Hadoop FileSystem.
because of the large number of bugs filed against mainline version\ is ambiguous and about to be removed as a choice. If you believe this is still a bug, please change the status back to NEW and choose the appropriate, applicable version for it.
