abrt popup with Ignore option only

Description of problem:
This is really weird, see screenshot. Why pop up a dialog, when Ignore is the only option? And why it is the only option?

When I opened abrt-gui (wow, it looks different now), there was "Reported: yes", but no link to retrace server nor bugzilla. I was able to manually submit the report - bug 909966 - and then a link to bugzilla appeared.

So I wonder why only Ignore option was shown?

One further note, the program has not really crashed (it continues to be usable), even though some exception occurred inside. Can it be the reason for the weird popup?

Comment 2 Jakub Filak 2013-02-12 10:02:43 UTC
This weired behaviour is caused by the Shortened Reporting mode which is enabled in GNOME by default. In this mode you see only the ingore button because problem's short description (ureport) has been already sent to abrt.fedoraproject.org and no more actions are necessary. It can be enabled and disabled by adding either 'ShortenedReporting = "yes"' or 'ShortenedReporting = "yes"' line to $HOME/.config/abrt/settings/abrt-applet.conf

The ignore button should be replaced by something like "Show details" button, because right now,the ignore button only closes the notification buble.

Fixed in git:

commit 491e05edc2782c27d7662a8ccc5e418d7452dcbc
Author: Jakub Filak <jfilak>

applet: mark problems as ignored and don't notify ignored problems

    - the ignore button just closed a notify bubble until this patch
    - from now the ignore button marks a problem as ignored in the future

    - closes rhbz#909968 and rhbz#905412
