Description Panu Matilainen 2013-02-17 11:23:10 UTC
Created attachment 698512 [details]
Put udev rules where udev finds them

Description of problem:

With libgphoto 2.5.0-7, cameras are no longer detected on x86_64 due to incorrect /lib -> %{_libdir} change for the udev rules. There's even a comment about it in the spec:

    # Btw, since it's /lib/udev, never e.g. /lib64/udev, we hardcode the path

On 32bit systems %{_libdir} happens to be /usr/lib but on x86_64 the udev rules now end up in /usr/lib64/udev which is not a path udev looks into and no cameras are found. Makes wife unhappy...

Attached patch puts the udev files where udev expects them, fixing the regression.
Obviously needed for rawhide as well.

Comment 1 Panu Matilainen 2013-02-17 11:52:12 UTC
Hmm, actually the more correct fix would be asking udev where it wants its files:

[pmatilai@turre ~]$ pkg-config --variable=udevdir udev
/usr/lib/udev
