Description Patrick 2013-02-22 16:29:09 UTC
Description of problem:
Kernel version not being updated in grub.cfg

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 18, new kernels

How reproducible:
every time there is a kernel update via apper

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start updates via apper
2.as updates are being done, scripts are run which fail for kernels
3.a reboot after kernel update and system continues to use old kernel version

Actual results:
system boots using old kernel version

Expected results:
expect grub2 to start listing new kernel version to boot

This problem can be somewhat hazardous due to the fact that eventually the kernel version grub.cfg is using will be eliminated after so many updates, thus rendering the system unbootable to someone that doesn't understand how to alter grub2.
