dmesg

After updating from F17 to F18 on a HP ProLiant ML110 G7 there is no output on the display. Kernel kernel-PAE-3.7.9-205.fc18.i686 - also seen on another ML110 running as x86_64

X is not being used, we are simply expecting to have a text login prompt appear and to be able to access the shell.

Testing 3 displays:
1. "No cable conneted"
2. "Out of range"
3. "Unsupported resolution"

I assume this is a side effect of http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/ServerKMSDrivers

The system otherwise seems to be working fine.

Adding "nomodeset" to the kernel parameters restores the display.
