Description of problem: eigen3 3.1.2 was released 05.11.2012, see http://eigen.tuxfamily.org/index.php?title=Main_Page Note: eigen3 3.1.2 is now licensed MPL2.
Actually, concerning licensing, the COPYING.README states Eigen is primarily MPL2 licensed. See COPYING.MPL2 and these links: http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/2.0/ http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/2.0/FAQ.html Some files contain third-party code under BSD or LGPL licenses, whence the other COPYING.* files here. All the LGPL code is either LGPL 2.1-only, or LGPL 2.1-or-later. For this reason, the COPYING.LGPL file contains the LGPL 2.1 text. So License should be "MPL2 and LGPLv2+ and BSD"

Thanks, I'll fix the licensing and roll the new eigen3 into rawhide soon.
Just a note: since I've just become maintainer for mingw-eigen3, if you want, I could also help co-maintain eigen3, to allow for easier synchronization between the two packages. (Btw, MPL2 should be MPLv2.0 to conform with the guidelines)
Sure, I don't mind if you want to help co-maintain eigen3. I'm working on getting 3.1.2 ready now. I'm curious as to why a separate mingw version of eigen3 is required though; eigen3 is just a header library, so the system installed version should be usable by mingw's compiler. Unless it's just a question of installation location, but that could be solved by symlinking probably.
Concerning the mingw variant, I agree, the only interesting part of it is shipping the pkg-config file available in the mingw environment It's certainly the case that one could simply require eigen3 and symlink /usr/i686-w64-mingw{32,64}/sys-root/mingw/include/eigen3 to /usr/include/eigen3, if that is legal to do in a package.
There's nothing in the guidelines that forbids making those types of symlinks that I'm aware of. The mingw package is already reviewed though so I don't know if it's all that important. I've updated to 3.1.2 in rawhide and sent an email to the devel list about the license change, so I think we're all good now. If you still want to help co-maintain eigen3 go ahead and apply in pkgdb and I'll approve you.
Thanks, I've added myself to the package for fedora-devel + branches. I'll ask on devel for opinions concerning the mingw package.
(Actually, I think I'll just leave the mingw package as is. After other mingw packages duplicate the include headers as well, so the current approach is more consistent.)
