Cause:
The /var/named/named.ca has been outdated and IP addresses of some root servers were not valid any more.
Consequence:
There were no consequences, since named will fetch the current IP addresses of all root servers on start-up.
Fix:
The /var/named/named.ca was updated to include the current IP addresses of root servers.
