Just something I got from talking to misty, during compass. It would be handy to writers if you were either able to: Enlarge the XML Editor/Preview to take up the full screen (possibly excluding the header). or Have the search results and any extra columns on the page collapsible, so that you can get more room for editing. This way when using smaller screen resolutions or even just working on larger documents it makes it easier to see all, or most of the content you are writing. This is different to the resize bars that already exist, as a collapsible column or making the editor go full screen, because it allows a fairly simple one or two clicks to return the layout to the way it was.

Cool. I do think that having an arrow or something might be an interesting alternative. Or maybe having the tab screen open in front of the whole page, with a lightbox effect, and having big arrows to go to the next or previous record, or back to the list. Let me know if this makes sense and I can try to draw a mock-up.
I've pushed the ability to collapse the search results in build 201303110835. I'll keep the bug open though.
I tested it out and I like the change. Thanks, Matt!
