Thanks for a bug report. Even this crashed in the main thread, I see the Thread 2 calls gtk functions below e_client_emit_backend_died(), which it should not do. The current development version, to be 3.8.x and part of Fedore 19, has this done differently, thus I guess it may not happen there.
