Description Matt Molyneaux 2013-03-10 21:27:39 UTC
Using EPEL 6 with CentOS 6.4.

Updating bitlbee is currently impossible due to the bitlbee-otr package (which was previously built from the same src rpm) not being dealt with. Yum gives the following error:

Error: Package: bitlbee-otr-3.0.5-1.el6.i686 (@epel)
           Requires: bitlbee(x86-32) = 3.0.5-1.el6
           Removing: bitlbee-3.0.5-1.el6.i686 (@epel)
               bitlbee(x86-32) = 3.0.5-1.el6
           Updated By: bitlbee-3.2-1.el6.i686 (epel)
               bitlbee(x86-32) = 3.2-1.el6

I haven't had a change to look at the spec and source for the latest bitlbee, but I assume either the otr plugin no longer exists or it's being bundled with the main package, so something like Obsoletes: bitlbee-otr should fix this bug.

You are right, this got lost due to wrong cleanup tries/changes in http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/bitlbee.git/commit/bitlbee.spec?id=7fe5b470a85eb85307fbc92da6e7a3c09dcc56e1
