Description of problem:
Powering up the laptop with external monitor results in both of the screens being black

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel-3.8.2-206.fc18.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-1.0.6-4.fc18.x86_64

How reproducible:
Happens allways

Steps to Reproduce:
1. power on the laptop with external monitor plugged in (VGA D-SUB in my case)


Additional info:
booting without the monitor and plugging it later is fine
I also experience bug 917353 so this might be relevant to it

Dell Vostro 1310
VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation G86 [GeForce 8400M GS] [10de:0427] (rev a1)

Still there with kernel-3.8.5-201.fc18.x86_64

working fine again with kernel 3.9.2
