Description Gustavo Maciel Dias Vieira 2013-03-20 20:23:04 UTC
Description of problem:
The last update to lirc introduced native systemd service files. However, the older init file contained code to deactivate other (in kernel) RC decoders. The code is bit a more complex, but boils down to (see #662071 comment 23):

echo lirc > /sys/class/rc/rc0/protocols

As a consequence, applications configured to use lirc but that also react to keyboard input (XBMC, for example), treat each remote press double.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lirc-0.9.0-10.fc18
