Support for the ARM 64 bit CPU architecture (aarch64) was introduced in autoconf 2.69. xdaliclock appears to use an earlier version of autoconf, preventing its being built. This can be fixed in of three ways (In order of preference): 1. Work with upstream to migrate the package to autoconf 2.69. 2. Rerun autoconf or autoreconf in %prep or %build prior to running configure. 3. Apply the patch at http://ausil.fedorapeople.org/aarch64/xdaliclock/xdaliclock-aarch64.patch which updates config.guess and config.sub to recognize aarch64.
This is enough to get xdaliclock built on aarch64 and ppc64le: 15:09 mjuszkie@chroot-rawhide:xdaliclock$ git diff diff --git a/xdaliclock.spec b/xdaliclock.spec index bc71471..388eebb 100644 --- a/xdaliclock.spec +++ b/xdaliclock.spec @@ -22,6 +22,8 @@ for window transparency. %setup %build +# easier than patching configure to read those files from own directory +cp /usr/lib/rpm/redhat/config.{guess,sub} . cd X11 %configure make %{?_smp_mflags}
