Description Jeff Morriss 2013-03-27 01:39:39 UTC
Description of problem:
Redhat's Wireshark builds are built "--with-python". There are a number of serious problems with Wireshark's Python support (including at least one bug reported by Redhat).

The current Wireshark's 'configure' help lists Python support as "BROKEN/UNSTABLE".

There is not currently a lot of interest in the Wireshark community to fix this. As such I'd suggest Redhat stop enabling this feature.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
All

How reproducible:
N/A

Steps to Reproduce:
1. wireshark -v | grep Python

Python support was removed in May 2013 (IIRC). Closing.
