Description Jan Kratochvil 2013-03-28 21:57:55 UTC
Created attachment 717865 [details]
Reproducer: infobug.tar.gz

Description of problem:
Since texinfo-5.0+ gdbint.info cannot be viewed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
FAIL: info-5.1-1.fc20.x86_64
I believe F-19 also fails but I cannot test it due to Bug 922268.
PASS: info-4.13a-18.fc18.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
info ./bug.info
point at "second::" and press enter

Actual results:
second: No such file or directory

Expected results:
Displayed "Node: second".

Additional info:
The problem is due to:
  @image{img}
and img.txt:
x x============
               x  x   x  x            x       x
               x  x   x  x============x
Curiously any subtle change of "img.txt" will make the bug unreproducible.
doc says:
  `makeinfo' includes `FILENAME.txt' verbatim for Info output
  (more or less as if it was an `@example').
but I have not found the info format documentation and/or what is wrong with the included "img.txt".

Comment 1 Jan Kratochvil 2013-03-31 16:56:34 UTC
It should be fixed now upstream:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-texinfo/2013-03/msg00078.html

Comment 2 Jan Kratochvil 2013-07-31 18:17:09 UTC
Please backport it, F-20 became development platform (for me) and the F-20 texinfo version has not changed.

Comment 3 Vitezslav Crhonek 2013-08-13 10:54:04 UTC
Thanks for the bug report, should be fixed in texinfo-5.1-4.fc20.

Comment 4 Jan Kratochvil 2013-08-15 14:31:17 UTC
Confirming it works, thanks.
