Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 947807
No space left on device message mess up the TUI
Last modified: 2014-01-21 14:30:58 EST
There are a couple related bugs that cause the initial issues with the Logging partition filling up bug 920614 -- decrease libvirt log level (vdsm) bug 947149 -- logrotate.status not R/W (might be unrelated) So I think we can just use this for the fact that we're dumping text on the screen. I also think that the issue is not critical enough to fix in z-stream, so we only need to ensure that it's not happening on the new UI.
The error which can be seen in the screenshot is caused by the logger. By default the logger writes errors and warnings to stderr. With the new TUI warnings and errors are written to /var/log/ovirt-node.log but not to stderr. That means that this bug should not appear with the new TUI.
This bug is currently attached to errata RHBA-2013:15277. If this change is not to be documented in the text for this errata please either remove it from the errata, set the requires_doc_text flag to minus (-), or leave a "Doc Text" value of "--no tech note required" if you do not have permission to alter the flag. Otherwise to aid in the development of relevant and accurate release documentation, please fill out the "Doc Text" field above with these four (4) pieces of information: * Cause: What actions or circumstances cause this bug to present. * Consequence: What happens when the bug presents. * Fix: What was done to fix the bug. * Result: What now happens when the actions or circumstances above occur.
