Description Eric Johnson 2013-04-03 16:29:38 UTC
For reuse purposes, it is good to know where else the topic is reused so that can be considered when making changes to the topic or deciding to clone it.

The content specs are just plain text (for now), so there is no hard link between a topic and a spec. However, you can search for a topic in a spec. Do a search, select CSP->Topic Types->Content Specification tag, and then in the topic contents field add something like "[5585]" (without the quotes). That will search all content specs for topic 5585.

Alternatively, paste http://skynet-dev.usersys.redhat.com:8080/pressgang-ccms-ui/#SearchResultsAndTopicView;query;tag268=1;topicXml=%5B5585%5D;logic=And into your borwser, and change 5585 in the topicXml query parameter to the topic you are looking for.

You can also use the report at http://skynet.usersys.redhat.com:8080/birt/frameset?__report=General/Topic_Reuse.rptdesign

Simply enter the content spec you are working on, and it will show you want other content specs the topics are used in.

Fixed in 201307261513.

This version is currently live on the test server. To see it go to any topic and select the Content Specs tab, this will then list all content specs that use the topic.

NOTE:
When QAing bug fixes, please make sure the build you are using is equal to or higher than the build identified above. Be aware that this fix may have only been applied in PressGang Next at this time, or it may not be currently applied in any production system, in which case it can only be verified at a later date.

Comment 6 Lee Newson 2013-08-30 05:40:16 UTC
Changing to RELEASE_PENDING since Eric's account has been closed and we have no one to QA the change.
