Description Dalibor Pospíšil 2013-04-05 18:56:57 UTC
Description of problem:
Printer is recognized and connected. However I cannot send even test page to the printer.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. plug the print and let it initialize
2. unplug and plug it again
3. check /var/log/messages

Additional info:
In Ubuntu/Ubuntu base distro (Linux Mint) the printer works ok. I can provide more info on demand.

Comment 1 Jiri Popelka 2013-04-06 08:50:24 UTC
SCX-4200 should be supported in SpliX [1], please install splix package and try again.

I'll add the printer's device-id to that package next week so it'll be installed automatically when the printer is connected.

Has the printer been configured ? Does it print ?

Yes as I wrote it helped. I mean the printer had been detected but configured after second plug-in and I was able to print on it than.
