Description of problem: Osoleting old MATE 1.4.x apps in mate-desktop.spec file is a bad idea. This cause dependencies errors with yum update until not all packages are updated. Dependency Resolution Errors: Package: mate-bluetooth-1.5.0-2.fc19.x86_64 (@fedora) Requires: libmatenotify.so.1()(64bit) Removing: libmatenotify-1.5.0-2.fc19.x86_64 (@fedora) libmatenotify.so.1()(64bit) Obsoleted By: mate-desktop-1.6.0-1.fc19.x86_64 (updates-testing) Not foundPackage: mate-power-manager-1.5.1-6.fc19.x86_64 (@fedora) Requires: libmatenotify.so.1()(64bit) Removing: libmatenotify-1.5.0-2.fc19.x86_64 (@fedora) libmatenotify.so.1()(64bit) Obsoleted By: mate-desktop-1.6.0-1.fc19.x86_64 (updates-testing) Not found after removing mate-bluetooth Package: mate-power-manager-1.5.1-6.fc19.x86_64 (@fedora) Requires: libmatenotify.so.1()(64bit) Removing: libmatenotify-1.5.0-2.fc19.x86_64 (@fedora) libmatenotify.so.1()(64bit) Obsoleted By: mate-desktop-1.6.0-1.fc19.x86_64 (updates-testing) Not found and and and ..... Hope you don't do this for f18. My suquestion: remove those obsoletes from mate-desktop spec file Obsoletes: libmate Obsoletes: libmatecanvas Obsoletes: libmatecomponent Obsoletes: libmatecomponentui Obsoletes: libmatenotify Obsoletes: libmateui Obsoletes: mate-conf-editor Obsoletes: mate-conf-gtk Obsoletes: mate-mime-data Obsoletes: mate-vfs and remove them from comps, that's enough. And let the user decide what he want to remove. Don't forget that there are community packages which needs some of this apps. Even people from GNOME don't do such of actions. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.6.0-1 How reproducible: simply do a yum update
And why you aren't using the gsettings override file which i've send to you, for enabling the default fedora background? Or you don't like fedora's corporate design? And before you asked, the overrides for mate-terminal only working if you use a patch for mate-terminal. Ask me and i send you the patch.
Pls, remove this obsolete crap. This concerns compiz too. Or you wanna break your mate + compiz iso?
