Description of problem: Booting into graphical greeter fails with brief error of missing Speherical Cow theme files in /usr/share/... (could not find permanent record of error) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 19-Alpha-TC5 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. normal install selecting KDE Plasma Workspace as main environment 2. reboot 3. Actual results: dumped into text console logind screen that is filled with remnants of startup Expected results: KDM greeter Additional info: happens in both bare-metal and VBox guest x86_64 Alpha blocker because system will not boot normally or show firstboot
NOTE: this is 19-Alpha-TC5 netinst install
netinst isn't usually a good test of this kind of thing, because it's picking up stuff from updates-testing. we don't block on that stuff.can you reproduce with the DVD?
I can't reproduce it with netinst nor DVD TC5. netinst pulled KDE 4.10.2 from updates-testing.
Discussed at 2013-04-08 blocker review meeting: http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2013-04-08/f19alpha-blocker-review-5.2013-04-08-16.01.log.txt . Rejected as a blocker - this seems to have been caused by something in updates-testing, and per comment #3 has probably been fixed anyway.
The bug was already fixed in the release at the time of the report but the update wasn't included in the live images.
