Description Daniel Davies 2013-04-08 15:53:48 UTC
Description of problem:
From mediawiki v1.17 onwards the config directory was renamed mw-config see - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Config_script

Trying to run mw-createinstance or mw-updateallinstances fails for new installs as the it looks for the directory named "config" not "mw-config"

I believe this bug is related to bug 926889.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mediawiki-1.19.4-2.fc18.noarch

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use yum to install mediawiki
2. run mw-createinstance
3.

Actual results:
cp: cannot stat ‘/usr/share/mediawiki/config’: No such file or directory

Expected results:
New instance should be created.

Additional info:
Not sure if the script should be updated to look for mw-config and config or if a symlink in the /usr/share/mediawiki would suffice

Sorry should be bug 926899 (can't see how to edit or if it's even possible)

Daniel: you probably want to check out my patch on bug 926899, that should show you how to fix your issue if you're still trying to upgrade your mediawiki instance.
