Description of problem:

I get a "certificate verify failed" error when trying to check system for updates.
Both ways (command line and GUI) show this error. GUI is telling me "Exception Occurred - An unhandled exception has occurred. This is most likely a bug. Please save the crash dump and file a detailed bug report against pirut at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla"

I attached the requested file.

How reproducible:

I am running 3 RHEL 5.9 virtual machines on VMware vSphere 5 (HP DL380 Server).
This error only pops up on one of the three...

Additional info:

Searched the web about this certificate error, found hints about wrong date/time settings. Checked it. Everything OK. VMware Server and virtual machines are using NTP and sync is fine.

Tried to "curl" a new certificate but the result is the same.
