There is only libdiscid 0.2.2 available for Fedora. Upstream has made a couple of releases, the current release is libdiscid 0.5.0 See http://musicbrainz.org/doc/libdiscid for download information, ChangeLog and a feature matrix. The current (0.5.0) announcement can be found at: http://blog.musicbrainz.org/?p=1881
0.5.0 is still fully backwards compatible to 0.2.2. Tested especially with picard, sound-juicer, goobox, kaudiocreator, xmms; since I added upstream patches to use discid_read_sparse for these. These patches are optional and only increase the performance for these applications (starting with libdiscid 0.5.0) See also: http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/LIB-29 for the performance regression in between and links to performance related upstream patches for dependencies.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 20 development cycle. Changing version to '20'. More information and reason for this action is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping/Fedora20
I've build a 0.5.2 version: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=5949632 IMHO, seems ready for a new release in Fedora

Yup, would be great to get a newer release in Fedora
I've asked permission to update the package: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/name/libdiscid
(In reply to Ismael Olea from comment #6) > I've asked permission to update the package: > https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/name/libdiscid Happy to step down as primary maintainer and become co-maintainer if you like.
Let be it :-)
Updated to last version 0.6.1 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=6122624
