After doing some looking I didn't see strong integration test coverage for alerting.  Meaning generation of alert definitions utilizing various alert conditions and options (like dampening), and validation that the alerts fire correctly.

It's possible some of this exists scattered among various subsystem test modules, but I didn't come across anything concentrated.
